Parents, tell us what you think: survey about climate, safety at school, tell us what you think: survey about climate, safety at school<div>​​Parents and guardians can provide feedback on the climate at our school through a survey that will be open from January 9 to 27.</div><div><br></div><div>Survey topics include: the overall tone of the school, feeling of safety, student well-being, and equity and inclusion.</div><div><br></div><div style="text-align:center;"><strong>Complete the survey now</strong></div><div style="text-align:center;"><br></div><div style="text-align:center;"><a href=""></a></div><div><br></div><div>A similar survey is being conducted with staff and students. Each school will receive a report of the school results. The Simcoe County District School Board’s (SCDSB) senior administrative team and Board of Trustees also review the board-wide results. </div><div><br></div><div>The data will show our progress over time, and will highlight areas of strength and areas in need of improvement.  </div><div><br></div><div>Parent and staff versions of the elementary School Climate Survey are being offered for the first time this year. Parent and staff versions of the secondary School Climate Survey were offered for the first time last year. Tree of Warmth! of Warmth!<p>​Ms. Marjerrison’s class will be collecting donations of new hats, mittens and scarves for our school’s “Tree of Warmth”. We will donate these items to families in need within Simcoe County. </p><p>Please donate new, warm winter clothing from Thursday, December 1st to Friday, December 16th.</p><p>The grade 2/3 class in room 201 will collect the items and use them to decorate a tree in the front lobby of the school.</p><p>Thank you from the students in Ms. Marjerrison’s class!</p>
Kernels Popcorn Sales Popcorn Sales<p>​​​The Grade 8 students are selling Kernel's popcorn beginning on Friday. Our plan is to set up a table by the Learning Center during both nutrition breaks for students on the 2nd floor to purchase popcorn. We will also have a student visit the classrooms on the 1st floor to take orders and deliver the popcorn. We have 4 different flavours: Buttersalt, Salt & Vinegar, Caramel and Kettle Corn). We will be charging $2.00 per bag. We hope to sell popcorn several times a week. Don’t forget your toonies!!​</p>
Gift-Wrapping at Lake Simcoe PS! at Lake Simcoe PS!<p>​​Our School Council will be providing a gift wrapping service here at Lake Simcoe. Wrappers are available between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm on Thursday, December 8th, 15th and 22nd. Prices are as follows: </p><p>- Small package $2.00</p><p>- Medium package $3.00</p><p>- Large package $4.00</p><p>- Oversized package $5.00</p><p>- Special Pricing for multiple items; Five Gifts for $10.00</p><p> Proceeds raised will benefit our students at Lake Simcoe Public School.</p>
